Chlorpheniramine is for the temporary relief of allergy symptoms in dogs and cats. It is available as 4mg tablets (OTC) and 12mg long-acting capsules (Rx). The usual dose in dogs is 2-8mg by mouth every 8 to 12 hours. The usual dose in cats is 1-2mg by mouth every 8 to 12 hours.
